Bronco Type R - Was This The Bronco Raptor Inspiration?

The Baja versions of the Ford Bronco are a well-known and treasured part of Bronco history.

With the introduction of the Sixth Generation Bronco Ford has created another legend in the making, the Bronco Type R.

Hinting at the upcoming 6G Bronco production model, Ford’s Bronco R race prototype debuted in the desert to celebrate 50th anniversary of Rod Hall’s historic Baja 1000 win, an overall victory in a 4×4 that’s never been duplicated in 50 years.

So, was the Type R the inspiration for the Bronco Raptor?

If I had to guess I would say it had a lot to do with it. Especially with the popularity the Raptor has so why not spin off the Bronco version. Just wish they were already out
