Has anyone installed the rear view camera for sale on Crutchfield…Brandmotion FVMR-1120? I’m curious how the install went and whether the camera is a quality upgrade?
I hadnt heard about the Wolfbox so thank you letting me know about it! I just looked at their website and the installation doesn’t look as clean as the Brandmotion one and for me I want something that looks oem without the wires dangling. The rear tire on a Braptor hides so much of the rear view that I really want something to be able to see behind me as I drive. So I’m not really worried about the extra’s like the voice controls. The camera mount on the Wolfbox is on the license plate as well which I’m not sure would be high enough to get a great view behind the vehicle. The Brandmotion has an adapter that attaches to the spare tire mount which seems to make more sense. The screen looks really nice on the Wolfbox rear mirror though.is that the best on the market? I keep seeing ads for one from Wolfbox
I’ve seen the same ads and a lady installed a wolf box camera on top of her 3rd brake light. She said she loves it. I am on the fence about it as I already have a dashcam but I cannot see out the rear window….![]()
I had the Brand Motion. I replaced it with the Wolfbox. The Brand Motion washes out at night, badly. The Wolfbox is considerably better.Has anyone installed the rear view camera for sale on Crutchfield…Brandmotion FVMR-1120? I did the camera installation inside the rear glass, which makes a nice improvement of the performance in the rain, important to me up here in Tacoma, WAView attachment 2753View attachment 2754
I just did this install this past week with the wolfbox G900 Pro. Total game changer. I purchased an additional item, a power mirror tap usb plug to power it because I’m not fond of doing the hard wire fuse tap. It powers on and off with ignition button. Perfect for my purposes. I don’t need 24/7/365 monitoring. Highly recommend this unit. 4K front camera and 2.5K rear camera.
I’ve been having issues with rain here, on Long Island, lately. I’m contemplating moving it inside the rear glass since I have no intention of removing the rear roof section due to a rear shelf installation. That, and it’s a pain to do myself and I don’t have a garage large enough to take it off and store it.I did the camera installation inside the rear glass, which makes a nice improvement of the performance in the rain, important to me up here in Tacoma, WA
How is the rear view at night with the tinted glass???I did the camera installation inside the rear glass, which makes a nice improvement of the performance in the rain, important to me up here in Tacoma, WA
Same. I have a Gobi roof rack, so that last section of roof won’t be coming off again.I’ve been having issues with rain here, on Long Island, lately. It works well. I will take a photo. Because it’s quite high up, the backup lines are not as accurate as they were when it was outside but I use the backup camera on the truck for that anyway. The mirror works fine at night (not as awesome as during the day but it’s leagues better than the Brand Motion)How is the rear view at night with the tinted glass???
