2022 Ford Bronco Raptor compared to 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands.

2022_Ford_Bronco_Raptor_vs_Ford_Bronco_Badlands.jpg

Ford Authority did a recent article comparing the specs between the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor and the 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands. They compared everything between the two, from size of the interior and exterior, to the suspension and engine. Below shows the detailed comparisons they made.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor vs 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands(with the Sasquatch Package) Exterior Specs:

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor2022 Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch
Wheelbase (inches)116.5116.1
Overall Length (inches)191190.5
Overall Width* (inches)85.776.3
Overall Height (inches)77.873.9
Front Track Width (inches)73.265
Rear Track Width (inches)73.665
Curb weight (pounds)**5,7335226/5,320**
* with mirrors folded
2.3L/2.7L

You can see that the the wheelbase and length differences are that much off but we all knew the Bronco Raptor would be much more wider and taller. What I am really shocked about is the differences in weight. The Bronco Raptor weights over 500lbs more then then the Bronco Badlands. That could be due to the beefed up suspension maybe??

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor vs 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands(with the Sasquatch Package) Interior Specs:

2022-Ford-Bronco-Raptor-Interior.jpg

Dimension2022 Ford Bronco Raptor2022 Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch

Rear Headroom (inches)40.140.1
Rear Legroom (inches)36.336.3
Rear Shoulder Room (inches)56.556.5
Rear Hip Room (inches)54.854.8

So between the Raptor and Badlands, it looks there isn't any differences between the two on the inside. Not a shock here.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor vs 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands(with the Sasquatch Package) Powertrain:

With the 3.0L EcoBoost v6 in the Raptor, it will have more horsepower then the Badlands. For now, you can only get the 3.0L Ecoboost in the Raptor. I know alot of expected owners where hoping Ford would put in the 3.5L Ecoboost in it, which the 2022 Ford Raptors are running with, but I feel the 3.0L will work well with the Bronco Raptor.

We already know that the Bronco Raptor can tow 1000lbs more then the Badlands Broncos, but for the Bronco Raptor, the payload is a little less, at 1100 compared to 1370 for the Badlands.

2022 Ford Bronco Raptor vs 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands(with the Sasquatch Package) Suspension:

We all pretty much new there wasn't going to be any close comparison here. With the Fox Live Dampers that the and the Dana 44/50 differential the Bronco Raptor houses underneath, the off road capability between the two goes to the Bronco Raptor of course!

The article on Ford Authority goes on with more detailed specs on the Approach angles and tires sizes. So if you would like to continue to read about that, here is the rest of the article:

Cool comparison. What they didn't do is compare the prices though. :) We all know the Raptor will be about $10k MSRP more, and the dealers will then add on another $20k after that.

It is like they read my mind on what to do with the Bronco to make it awesome. All I will have to do to it is add a family radio, stubby antennae and ARB twin compressor (maybe two with a tank), tools and it will be good to go.

Are you talking a CB radio as the family radio? I do like the idea of the ARB compressor. Do you have one on your F150 Raptor now?

I have CB in my Raptor and Jeep, but I am going to switch over to GRMS. I have a couple of handhelds and they work a lot better than CB.

I have the twin ARB in my Raptor and Jeep and the single in my RZR. With the Braptor, I may put in two twins and tie them into a 3 or 5 gallon tank for faster fill ups. While my Jeep has 39" tires, I usually only go from about 12 to 20 PSI as it spends it's whole life in Moab. When I had to fill them up to highway pressure it took a while. The Braptor will be used on the highway as well as off road, and with 37s, it will take a while, so I might spend the big bucks and do it right if there is room. I don't like mounting them under the hood because of the heat, and I will not mount under the cab because of the dust and dirt, so the compressor has to go in the cabin, maybe under the back seat, which is where it is on my Raptor.

Nice comparison article. What a huge difference going the BR compared to the others. Just the power and torque alone make the price worth getting (obviously if cost isn't and issue).

I notice two things missing from the F-150 Raptor. One, no hot spot listed, says connected, but that is it. Two, no cooled seats.

Yep! As we know being in the desert that AC seats are almost a requirement. Well at least here in Phoenix! 🔥🔥

On a 80K (I assume with lux package and other things) truck with desert terrain suspension, that is an oversight on their part. Somebody needs to tell Ford that.
