Water was found in the air filter, turbos. Each module needed to be replaced. The boards were corroded and covered in mud even after using compressed air to remove everything and baking the boards. Vehicle was detailed and Oil was changed before heading to FORD. The vehicle sees more dirt and...
My Opinions: CAR WASH - get a power washer, but be careful not to have the water sit on the hood or somehow get under the hood and sit on the engine, because you'll likely be having to take it in for a new engine... I like the idea of the bigger tank, I'd sacrifice the 2nd row for that or the...
Great looking stream run! Do you know how deep the water was 18" from the looks of it - did it get any deeper? did you install a snorkler and engine sealer - I am asking because I was doing the same thing and the engine died and it took 2+ hours to get me / the vehicle out of the water..
Which lights did you go with? You must have experience to put the lights at the mirror at 12 - 15 degrees off camber to see everything. is that a fuel can on top?
1st thing I am adding to this once it is repaired:
- Winch
- Snorkler with engine casing for water tight to not run into this same issue
- New Rubber w/ Beadlock Wheels (my buddy owns a shop, they'll me really cheap)
After 5 hour drive, I drove it 45 minutes outside of St. Louis to see how it handled smaller ideas. I have a 85 degree section I am ready to test it out on, but i think this time I'll get a winch for in the case of an "oops" like I had in the stream
YUP, that may be my dream vehicle from the outside at least. I would love to have a build just like that. BEAST!! I would make it street legal and pound the the dirt trails and rivers/streams extremely hard.
I don't believe so. I didn't buy this Braptor to be a road warrior, the suspension is the key, but I guess I didn't do my research on all of the sensors it has. My Polaris Pro R has no sensors except for the fuel is running low or the engine is too hot. Since I drove it home from Ohio in June...
If you are in a situation of getting your vehicle repaired or made, it could be a long time before any of it is completed according to this article. Meaning, I am likely going to be waiting a long time for my BRAPTOR to be repaired or replaced.
UAW FORD On HOLD...
It did handle as close to a dream as it could, but then I took into a dry river bed and found water that may have been 30" deep, went over some bumps and the vehicle is now dead. I had to get my CAT 299 D3 XE to pull it out of moving water. I haven't had time to take it to the dealership yet to...
