2500 miles, first oil change, impressions and things I'd change

I put an acoustical liner in two years ago and just added a Hotheads liner kit. The acoustical liner made a big difference and the hotheads adds to it. My truck is loud. I have a rack with lights and run a tent sometimes, so every little helps. Posts from the shop that did the work Link...

    Rear view mirror camera

I can’t take the 3rd section of roof off on my truck anyway, so inside the glass works for me. My friend with a two door added a quick disconnect in the wire where the other disconnects are, so he can de-couple his Wolfbox rear camera to take the top off. Requires some comfort cutting the cable...

    Rear view mirror camera

It works well. I will take a photo. Because it’s quite high up, the backup lines are not as accurate as they were when it was outside but I use the backup camera on the truck for that anyway. The mirror works fine at night (not as awesome as during the day but it’s leagues better than the Brand...

    Rear view mirror camera

Same. I have a Gobi roof rack, so that last section of roof won’t be coming off again.

    Rear view mirror camera

I did the camera installation inside the rear glass, which makes a nice improvement of the performance in the rain, important to me up here in Tacoma, WA

    Rear view mirror camera

I had the Brand Motion. I replaced it with the Wolfbox. The Brand Motion washes out at night, badly. The Wolfbox is considerably better.

Stirrups to fit stock running boards

Heard back from the guy who owned AR. Apparently he has no relationship with whatever Archetype Composites is, though they definitely had Archetype Racing products on their site. That site is now gone…

Stirrups to fit stock running boards

that must be an older site, as their main site was archetyperacing.com and that’s been down for a long time. I sent the owner a screenshot of this thread and the website, as I know him personally (i’m local to the former shop). I wouldn’t buy from that site however, as I know the business has...

Stirrups to fit stock running boards

These are what I have had on mine until a few weeks ago. These aren’t specific to the Raptor and I need to adjust then because I’m now running 39” tires. I pulled them off until I can see if I can move them enough so they don’t rub on the larger tires. They are nice: solid billet and...

Ford Offers Power and Torque Boost for Ranger and Bronco Raptors

I think either in this Forum or on Bronco6G I read that all the software flash tools will leave an indelible mark somewhere in the firmware that is not reversed by uninstalling. You might ask Andy Bagozzi, he’s in the Bronco Raptor Group on Facebook and is also (reportedly) a FoMoCo reliability...

Ford Offers Power and Torque Boost for Ranger and Bronco Raptors

I called Ford Protect this morning. The Terms and Conditions of the original contract has a section on engine, powertrain and final drive modifications that state modifications to this area would invalidate future claims should failures occur in these components. I specifically asked if software...

Ford Offers Power and Torque Boost for Ranger and Bronco Raptors

My dealer (titus will in Tacoma) knows the Procal. They’ve been installing them for a while on the 2.3 and 2.7 engines. My extended warranty is the Ford OEM product, not an aftermarket. And I still need to call the Ford Protect folks as I’m not sure the dealer is correct that installing it will...
